The Pittsburgh Experiment pioneered the conference movement in the 1970s as a way for people to break away from the grind of everyday life in order to have fun, relax and learn about life-changing topics.

Conferences can have from a few dozen to several dozen participants and are usually held in hotels, resorts or conference centers. This enables those who attend to break away from their normal routine and focus on themselves in order to discover solutions to the struggles they face.
